I’m Mahendra, a graduate of B.Sc (PMCs) from SBRR Mahajana First Grade College (2014-2017). My first day of college was overwhelming, but the support from teachers and HoDs soon turned every challenge into a learning opportunity. Three years here gave me fond memories: fests, paper presentations, trophies brought home from inter-college events, and Saturday assemblies celebrating student successes that built real confidence and recognition.
Beyond academics, being part of the volunteers’ committee and student parliament gave me a behind-the-scenes look at organizing successful events, while volunteering for the needy taught empathy and built lifelong friendships. Through it all, I had great fun with friends while pursuing everything college had to offer. This nurturing environment, with the freedom to grow personally, helped me secure multiple MNC offers by graduation.
Years later, working across different cities and firms, I still carry forward everything Mahajana’s taught me. I still keep in touch with the college and teachers who helped me become who I am today.

My experience at SBRR Mahajana First Grade College, Mysuru, as a student of B.Sc. in Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Biotechnology (2021-2024), has been both enriching and inspiring. The college provided a strong academic platform that nurtured my interest in the biological sciences through a balanced combination of classroom learning and practical laboratory exposure. The faculty members were highly supportive, approachable, and committed to ensuring students achieved their academic potential. The institution also offered numerous opportunities to participate in seminars, workshops, and co-curricular activities, which enhanced my communication, leadership, and critical-thinking skills. The encouraging atmosphere and emphasis on holistic development helped me grow both personally and professionally. I sincerely appreciate the invaluable knowledge, guidance, and experiences gained during my time at the college, which have laid a strong foundation for my future academic and career pursuits.
My first year at college was a transformative experience that changed my perspective on academic and personal growth. Joining the Student Coordination Committee for MAHAM was a turning point, helping me grow from a passive participant into an active organizer. Through various events and workshops, I gained valuable skills in event management, teamwork, leadership, and communication. The committee organized 26 events across different categories, providing opportunities to showcase talent, creativity, and competitiveness. Career guidance workshops also helped students explore national and global opportunities. Events such as Giga Hertz Gala, MAHATARANG, and Infinova made my college life exciting and memorable. These experiences taught me lessons beyond the classroom, shaping my character, boosting my confidence, and preparing me to face future challenges with enthusiasm and determination.
I am Samudyatha K.S from B. Sc. (Physics, Mathematics). I am Proud to say that I completed my degree at SBRR Mahajana First Grade College.
My journey at Mahajana has been very memorable and enjoyable. We had many opportunities to learn outside the classroom through visits to places like Nehru Planetarium, IISc Open Day, Space Day at Mysore Open University, and many other educational events. These experiences helped us gain practical knowledge and exposure.
Our college also conducts interactive sessions, workshops, seminars, and various competitions that help students improve their communication and presentation skills. We were encouraged to take part in PPT presentations, seminars, Practical assignments, and skill – development courses.
Apart from academics, Mahajana gives equal importance to cultural activities and encourages students to participate in various events and showcase their talents. The college also has committees and clubs like Rotaract, NCC, NSS, and many others, which provides many opportunities.
Overall, I would like to say that Mahajana has played an important role in my growth as a student. It has given me many opportunities to learn, develop new skills, and create wonderful memories that I will always cherish.
